RELAY — Horiuchi Marina (17/11/2010)

THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION - PLEASE SEE THE ORIGINAL DIARY POST HERE

RELAY
Hello everyone!
It's Horiuchi Marina! 💕
The other day, we had sports day (at school) 1
I was chosen to represent in relay running.
Of the 400m race, each person ran 100 metres.
I was the first leg runner. 2
Before running, I fastened the magic tape on my shoes tightly, and then I ran with all my heart. 3
My last relay in elementary school. 4
In the end, we finished second!
We came so close, but unfortunately didn't win. However, I had a good feeling because I gave it my best. 5
I love running.
Everyone, do you like running?
Marina

Notes
0- Marina's running skills were later mentioned and praised in an episode of Night of Spica.
1- She doesn't mention it, but it presumably happened at her elementary school.
2- Expression トップバッター as in top batter is used here. It actually is a waisei-eigo used in baseball for the batter that starts the match/game/whatever it's called in that sport.
3- Don't worry, magic tape (マジックテープ) isn't one of Marina's inventions, it's just the name under which velcro is marketed in Japan.
4- Marina was in her final year of elementary school during her first year in Sakura Gakuin.
5- Explanation for the first sentence can be found here. Please let me know if you find a less painful way to translate it.

INFLUENZA 🏥
Everyooooooone 💦
The flu season has come this year too 😣
Even though Hinata is not good at it, I went to get vaccinated 😥 1
(I wanna do my best live) 2
Isn't there something like a painless injection? 💀
Moreover, children have to go get vaccinated twice 😪
Ah--the hospital doctor looks like a devil to me 3
(In reality, he/she is a really good doctor (lol))
Everyone, don't forget to gargle ⛾ and wash your hands 💕
Hinata 💗

Notes
1- She's "not good at it" as in she "doesn't like doing so".
2- If she gets flu she won't be able to do her best in live concerts, I suppose that's what she means by ライブ.
3- 先生 is one of the ways to refer to a doctor, it doesn't only mean a teacher. (Thank you for correction.)

The Great Hengao Presentation — Kikuchi Moa (14/11/2010)

THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION - PLEASE SEE THE ORIGINAL DIARY POST HERE

Moa's cell phone has a personal alarm installed in it. 1
It's a phone for children.📱 2
I take photos often with this phone.
I especially like to take hengao pictures with it.💕 3
(Both of my friends and myself.)
Today I'll show you my favorite hengao photos that I've taken so far.💕
One day Moa would love to open my personal hengao photography exhibition.
From now on I'll be taking a lot of photos of hengaos of everyone in Sakura Gakuin.💕
Is that impossible?
Ufufu lol 4

Translated by The Rado with corrections by the SG Reddit community (thank you)

Notes

1- I'm honestly wondering why she's mentioning it, maybe cause otherwise she wouldn't even have a cell phone?
2- I had no idea this was thing, but apparently it is.
3- Most SG and BM fans know, but if you don't, "hengao" means "funny face".
4- Ufufu is a kawaii way to say "lol".
